Dump Truck vs. Bicycle Seriously Injures One
A bicyclist was seriously injured after he was hit Friday by a dump truck on Chicory Road.

A dump truck vs. bicycle accident in the 2900 block of Chicory Road sent the cyclist to the hospital with serious injuries.
Our friends at Racine Uncovered are reporting that a dump truck struck a man riding a bike as the man exited the bike path on Chicory Road.
Mount Pleasant police and rescue crews from South Shore were called to the scene at about 5:45 p.m. Friday. Flight for Life was dispatched shortly thereafter to meet medical personnel at Wheaton Franciscan St. Mary's to transport the patient to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.
By 6:15 p.m. Racine police were also being called to the scene, and scanner chatter was listing the man's condition as serious head injuries, according to RU.
Chicory Road remained closed to traffic as of 6:30 p.m.
