Transition Racine invites the community to its Monday, February 13, 6:30 p.m. monthly meeting to hear Ben Lehner speak on the activities of the Root River Council. Held at Gateway Technical College, Racine Campus, Racine Building, Room 113 Michigan Room.
"Since 2006, the Root River Council (RRC) has focused on the revitalization of the Root River in Racine by spearheading projects that 1) improve water quality, 2) increase public access, 3) stimulate economic growth, 4) create a sense of place. The RRC is currently leading a community planning process to develop a redevelopment plan for the urban corridor of the Root River in downtown Racine."
