Safety Town, another Leadership Racine project, will be on-site to offer children a fun, hands-on way to learn about bike, street and personal safety in a kid-sized town. The age-appropriate curriculum covers topics including crossing the street, bike safety and learning what information to share in an emergency situation. Youngsters will be fitted with bike helmets to ride bikes on Safety Town’s streets and receive safety gift bags. Safety Town's team mission is to offer community organizations a ready-to-use program to teach youngsters important life skills.
Leadership Racine’s Team “Rectify” partnered with the City of Racine’s Humble Park Community Center to host this Expo so that Racine County residents may learn about the many local recreational opportunities for families and expand awareness of local parks and resources.
