Freak Accident on I-94 Leaves Woman With Only Minor Injuries
A woman's face was cut by shattered glass after the tires from a box truck came off, went across the freeway and struck her windshield. Those are the only injuries reported in the early morning incident.

The tandem wheels of a box truck came off while it was driving north on Interstate 94 early Thursday morning, flying across the median and striking an oncoming car.
A set of tandem wheels came off the Chevy G30 box truck at 6:21 a.m., when eight bolts that hold the wheels together unexpectedly sheared off, according to information from the Racine County Sheriff's Department. The wheels went across the median and smashed into the front hood of a car headed south.
The wheels then bounced into the car's windshield, directly in front of the female driver, and shattered the glass. She managed to successfully pull onto the shoulder next to the cement median and call 911. Rescue personnel responded and treated her at the scene for minor cuts from the flying glass.
