Guacamole, 'Best Rice in the Country' on La Lluvia Menu

La Lluvia opened in December and has a brisk lunch and dinner crowd. They're expanding to breakfast, too, to help folks start the day on a tasty note.

From homemade salsa and chips to soups and 30 lunch specials cooked to order, La Lluvia offers authentic Mexican food in the heart of Sturtevant.

But, Manager Bonnie Rendall told Patch that it's the homemade guacamole that makes diners sit up and take notice.

"It's homemade, and people get upset if they come in and we don't have any," she said.

They're also working on creating breakfast combinations for less than $4 to help residents get the fuel they need in the morning.

Schulte School student Hailey Mattek, 9, has a different opinion.

"It's the best rice in the country," she said, pointing to her plate.

Mom Jamie said it's impossible to go wrong since every choice is a good one.

"We come in here all the time and it's always good, always fresh," she said.

La Lluvia opened earlier this winter and is open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day. You'll find them at 8609 Durand Avenue, (262) 886-8686.
