The driver of a red mini-van was uninjured and was able to drive away with minimal damage.

According to Murphy Shittu of Mount Pleasant, his sister, Sheri Danmole, was driving the Honda Fit, going south on Highway 31 when the driver of the Caprice pulled out in front of her.

"She said the guy came from nowhere and hit her and spun her around," he said. "She sounded very shook up."

Shittu said Danmole has only lived in the area for two days after moving from California to be closer to family. He stopped at the accident scene to remove some of his sister's belongings from the car before it was towed away and he went to the hospital to check on her condition.
