Intersection Closed As Water Main Project Continues

The contractor has two crews working on pipe work and paving on Newman, Cherry Hill and Cortland, according to the Village.
Pipe crew 1 is in the intersection of Graceland and Perry, and due to the depth of the excavation, this intersection will be closed for the next several days.

Pipe crew 2 is working on water main and service relocations between Washington and Kinzie. Asphalt paving started Tuesday in Newman north of Spring Street.
Some paving was replaced south of Spring Street.

Paving will continue in Newman between Cherry Hill and Spring Street, including cross trench replacement.
The final lift of asphalt will then be placed in Cherry Hill and Cortland Wednesday and Thursday.
The final lift of asphalt in Newman north of Spring Street will also be replaced. The road closure will still be in effect for the next few days in Newman until the new pavement markings are placed.
