Jen's Beverage Robbed At Gunpoint; Police Search For Suspect
Greenfield police say the man who robbed Jen's Beverage is linked to robberies at Walgreens, Family Dollar and more.

GREENFIELD, WI — Police in Greenfield say they're trying to track down a man who robbed Jen's Beverage at gunpoint last week, saying the same suspect is linked to similar robberies at Walgreens, Family Dollar, Speedway and a liquor store near the airport.
According to police, a store clerk was working behind the counter at Jen's Beverage, 4312 W. Howard Ave. on the night of Sep. 2 when a man walked up to the clerk just after 8:30 p.m. and pointed a small black handgun at the counter.
Police reports indicated the suspect ordered the clerk to both "open the till" and "put it in" when referring to the money inside the cash register.

According to police, the suspect reached over the counter and began grabbing the money out of the till and stuffing it into his pockets after the clerk refused to help him.
Authorities said the clerk grabbed a bottle of liquor behind him and threw it at the suspect, striking him in the chest.

Police said the suspect ran from the store with between $500 and $700 in cash.
Authorities said they tried tracking the suspect down using K9 Ocho on S. 43rd Street, though they could not pick up a trail.
Greenfield police said the suspect was wearing a green baseball hat, medical mask, a red short-sleeved plaid t-shirt, black latex gloves, blue jeans and tan shoes. Police described the suspect as a white man between 6 feet and 6-foot-3 and weighing about 200 pounds.
