An overnight homicide in Yorkville led Racine County Sheriff's deputies to the 9300 block of Florence in Sunday morning.

From what we know, officers were sitting in unmarked cars near the suspect's home when he exited the house. Deputies converged on the suspect and took him into custody without incident.
By early Sunday afternoon, the RCSD executed a search warrant on the residence, presumably for evidence related to homicide in Yorkville.
But in the same statement in which the RCSD identified the homicide victim, they also said they don't have any suspects in custody. The Sheriff does, however, have persons of interest, "but no arrests have been made at this time."
Patch received numerous tips Monday that officers were once again outside the residence on Florence Drive in Sturtevant, but Sturtevant Police referred us back to the Sheriff.
On Sunday, Marschke said the suspect in this case has had prior contact with the Sturtevant Police Department.
