​Mount Pleasant To Close Compost Site Temporarily

MOUNT PLEASANT, WI – Citing public and worker safety during construction of a new facility, the Village of Mount Pleasant will close the village's existing compost site from Sept. 15 to about Oct. 30.

During the scheduled closure of the compost site, a temporary drop-off site will be available to Village residents at the Mount Pleasant DPW site, 8700 Campus Drive.

The temporary site will be open on the following days and times:

  • Mondays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., starting Sept. 16
  • Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., starting Sept. 18
  • Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., starting Sept. 21

The new compost site will re-open near the end of October, at which time the temporary drop-off location will close, officials said. The Village will post the date that the compost site will re-open on the Village website as soon as it is known.
