Mount Pleasant PD Traffic Stop Uncovers $7K In Marijuana
Three suspects with prior criminal records were taken into custody, according to the Mount Pleasant Police Department.

MOUNT PLEASANT, WI — Three people are behind bars following a traffic stop that led to officers uncovering over a half-pound of marijuana valued at more than $7,000, according to the Mount Pleasant Police Department.
Police said that on Tuesday shortly after 3 p.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop along the 5200 block of Washington Avenue for a traffic violation.

During the traffic stop, the officer said that he discovered that the occupants — three total —inside the car were in possession of a large quantity of marijuana.

Police identified the suspects as Andrew J. Buckley, 22, of Racine; Qkobe B. Jenkins, 23, of Kenosha and Cortaisha T. Thompson, 23, of Racine.

Police said all three people had prior arrests of possession with intent to deliver/manufacture THC and one suspect was currently out on probation for the same offense.

The suspects were later booked into the Racine County jail. Charges were referred to the Racine County Attorney’s Office for possession with intent to deliver/manufacture marijuana.
