Mount Pleasant Police Report Uptick in Car, Garage break-ins

MOUNT PLEASANT, WI— The Mount Pleasant Police Department is reporting a concerning trend that's emerging.

Police say they are investigating more cases of vehicles being broken into that are either parked in the driveway or in the street, and the garage door openers are being taken.

The garage door openers are then allowing access to garages and, in some cases, homes.

Police are warning homeowners that if you are parking your vehicle outside, to take your garage door opener and your keys inside your home.
