Old Kohl's Building Gets A Fresh Look

The old Kohl's grocery story, located at 3915 Durand Avenue, isn't such an eyesore now that the owners, NorStates Bank, have spruced the building up with a coat of paint, according to the Journal Times.

For months, officials with the Village of Elmwood Park had been asking the bank to upgrade the building, but they had been unsuccessful.

So early last month, the village board wanted the village attorney to look at how the village could start working on the problems, which includes asking the Racine County Sheriff's Department to start issuing citations to NorStates Bank in Waukegan, Ill, the bank that owns the property.
