Officers with the Racine County Metro Drug Unit say they busted an apartment cocaine lab July 3, and now a 23-year-old woman who lived there is facing multiple felonies.
Brittany Booker, 23, of Mount Pleasant, was formally charged Thursday in Racine County Circuit Court with:
- One felony count of possession with the intent to deliver cocaine;
- One felony count of possession of marijuana;
- One felony count of possession of narcotic drugs;
- One felony count of maintaining a drug trafficking place; and
- One felony count of possession of a firearm by a felon.
According to the criminal complaint, agents with the metro drug unit executed a knock and announce search warrant July 3 on Booker's apartment based on an ongoing investigation into her suspected drug activities. Officers gained entrance to Booker's apartment by using a ram because no one answered the door.
Police say they observed a drug manufacturing station assembled in the kitchen and also recovered a number of items, including:
- Two, 12-gauge shotguns
- A variety of marijuana pipes
- Digital scales and plastic baggies
- Amounts of two substances that tested positive for heroin and crack
- Paraphernalia commonly used to sell marijuana
