Police Round Up Three Overnight Burglary Suspects

Two adults and a juvenile were taken into custody by Mount Pleasant police Friday for allegedly stealing a man's wallet out of his car while the car was in the garage.

A teenager who should have been at home in bed on a school night instead found himself in police custody for allegedly breaking into a garage to steal a wallet out of the car parked inside.

Mount Pleasant Police say they responded to a call at 3:38 a.m. Friday from a resident in the 4100 block of Sheridan Road that his wallet was stolen out of his car while the car was parked in his garage.

According to a written release from MPPD, officers were already in the area because someone was seen running through yards. Police continued to search and finally arrested three suspects; and 18- and 21-year-old adults suspects and a 16-year-old juvenile.

All three have been charged with burglary and one suspect was also charged with obstruction. The two adults are being held at the Racine County Jail and the juvenile was transported to the Racine County Juvenile Detention Center.
