Racine County SO: Impaired Man Asleep At Gas Station Arrested
Anthony J. Plishka, 61, has been charged with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a felony, Racine County deputies said.
RACINE COUNTY, WI — A man who deputies said fell asleep behind the wheel at a gas station while intoxicated has found himself behind bars.
According to the Racine County Sheriff's Office, about 11:21 a.m. Tuesday, a concerned citizen called the Racine County Communications Center to report a man sleeping in the driver’s seat of his running vehicle at a gas station in the Village of Rochester.
The citizen was also concerned that they could see beer cans within the vehicle, deputies said.

After arriving on scene, deputies said they found Anthony J. Plishka, 61, of the Village of Yorkville, in the vehicle.
After waking Plishka, deputies said they observed numerous signs of impairment.

Plishka agreed to submit to standardized field sobriety testing, according to deputies. Officers said his tests indicated that he was impaired.
Plishka was taken into custody for felony OWI (Operating While Intoxicated). He is being held at the Racine County jail on a $12,500 bond.
