Racine Man Arrested On Charges Of Possession Of Heroin, Cocaine, and Marijuana With Intent To Deliver

Police conducted a buy-bust with the help of a woman who was involved in a friend's recent overdose.

RACINE - Dashawn L. Wright, 21, of Racine, was arrested March 20 on multiple drug charges during a buy-bust operation with the help of a police informant.

An investigator was working with a woman who was involved in her friend's recent drug overdose, who contacted the suspect to deliver heroin to her apartment. The woman said Wright had previously delivered drugs to her apartment and would most likely have at least one gram of heroin on him, along with crack cocaine.

About 10 minutes later, Wright called the informant to let her know he had arrived. Police converged on a vehicle in the lot and detained a male passenger who matched the description provided. During a patdown, an officer felt a large ball along the suspect's inner thigh. Wright was uncooperative and began to resist so officers had to subdue him to the ground.
