Racine Theater Guild Announces 2020-21 Season Performances
'Bye Bye Birdie,' 'Clue,' and 'Hello, Dolly' highlight the Racine Theatre Guild's 83rd season of shows and musicals.

RACINE, WI — The Racine Theatre Guild announced their 2020 – 2021 season of plays and musicals. It's the guild's 83rd season.
Here is the lineup, dates and a description of each show.
Bye Bye Birdie

With the 1960s on the horizon, rock ‘n roll is sweeping the nation and no singer is more popular
than teen heartthrob Conrad Birdie. When he is drafted for the army, his manager, Albert, cooks
up a publicity stunt to sell Birdie’s new song “One Last Kiss” by having him give a farewell
performance and kiss to one lucky fan on The Ed Sullivan Show. They decide to visit Sweet
Apple, Ohio and get more than they bargained for while trying to find the perfect girl to kiss.

Thunder crashes, lightning flashes, and rain pours as a cast of mysterious characters gather for a
dinner party where murder and blackmail are on the menu. Each is given a familiar alias –
Colonel Mustard, Mrs. White, Mr. Green, Mrs. Peacock, Professor Plum, and Miss Scarlet.
When their host mysteriously turns up dead, they all suddenly become a suspect. In a slapstick
evening full of madcap murder and mystery, it is a race around the board to solve the puzzle as
the body count continues to rise.
Moon Over Buffalo

Fading Broadway stars, George and Charlotte Hay, are trying to keep their marriage and ragtag
theater troupe afloat. They arrive in Buffalo, New York and have one last shot at stardom when a
film director is rumored to be attending one of their performances. Unfortunately, everything that
could go wrong does, including uncertainty about which play they are actually performing. But
the show must go on in the comic romp that includes wrestling, confusion, bickering, fencing,
jealousy, and plenty of hilarity.

Hana’s Suitcase

When a group of students study a tattered suitcase from the Holocaust, they find three things
written on its side: “Hanna Brady,” “May 16, 1931,” and “Waisenkind,” meaning orphan. Left
with countless questions, their teacher begins a worldwide search to find out who Hana was,
where she came from, and her final fate. Past and present mysteries intertwine as they begin to
discover clues about Hana’s courageous life story. History and heart pulsate throughout the true
story brought to life on stage.
