The woman was charged with attempted first-degree intentional homicide and her blood alcohol content was over the legal limit.

RACINE - A 27-year-old Racine woman was arrested on charges of first degree attempted homicide Tuesday after attempting to gun down the father of her children while one of their children looked on.

According to the Racine County Eye, the suspect, Jasmine J. Phillips, called the victim while he was at Gateway Technical College. The call turned into a fight and Phillips said she was going to Gateway to kill him.

Upon leaving, the victim, who was in his car, noticed Phillips following him in her car. He tried to turn his vehicle around, at which point, Phillips shot at him and drove away. The man stopped in the 1200 block of Racine St. and police arrived to find bullet holes in the man's driver's side door and window. He was uninjured.
