Sex Offender Notification Meeting Tuesday
Mount Pleasant Police will host a sex offender notification meeting Tuesday at Village Hall.

Mount Pleasant Police are hosting a sex offender notification meeting Tuesday to talk about the release of two convicted offenders next month.
The meeting is scheduled from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Village Hall, 8811 Campus Drive.
Information presented by MPPD, the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, Racine County District Attorney’s Office, and Racine County Victim Witness Assistance Program will only be for adults, and authorities are asking that only adults attend.

Eugene Walker, 25, and Cisco Roushia, 31, will both temporarily reside at a home in the 2100 block of Racine Street under the supervision of the Department of Corrections, according to MPPD Sgt. Eric Relich.
"Both offenders will be temporarily residing in a transitional residence located in the 2100 block of Racine Street ... for approximately 60 days," he wrote in a statement. "This timeframe is dependent upon securing another suitable residence."

Walker was convicted in 2006 of attempted second degree sexual assault of a child. He was sentenced to eight years in prison and eight years of extended supervision. Walker will be released the week of June 3.
Roushia is slated for release the week of June 24. He was convicted in 2008 of third degree sexual assault and false imprisonment. Roushia also has previous convictions for third degree sexual assault, maintaining a drug trafficking place and escape.
Both Walker and Roushia cannot have any contact with minors, not consume or possess alcohol, stay out of taverns or liquor stores. They will also have to wear GPS bracelets, register with the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registry Program for the rest of their lives.
