Start of Demo Means Panda Express is On the Way

Construction on the new Panda Express has begun.

Crews were spotted Thursday morning inside a newly erected chain link fence to start the demolition of the old Johnson Bank building.

The Chinese restaurant originally was to have been built and open for operation by the end of 2012, but property transfers indicate Panda Express closed on the sale of the bank building in February.

Representatives with Panda told Patch last year that a build typically takes three months so that would put opening day sometime this summer.
