Suspect Being Held in Missouri for Yorkville Homicide
Deputies followed leads across 2,000 miles to find the person they believe is responsible for the murder of Robert Greene in Yorkville last weekend.

Racine County Sheriff Chris Schmaling on Friday released a statement announcing the arrest of a suspect in Missouri for the Aug. 26 .
According to the release, the suspect is being held in Missouri on an unrelated Wisconsin warrant and will be extradited to Racine in the coming days. When he arrives, the RCSD will formally arrest him for Green's death and recommend to the Racine County District Attorney that homicide charges be filed.
Deputies reportedly followed leads across five states and 2,000 miles to locate the suspect. The RCSD is not releasing the person's name at this time.

. He was taken by rescue to an area hospital where he later died.
Later on Sunday, deputies took a man into custody who was believed to have a connection with Greene's death and executed a search warrant on a home in the 9300 block of Florence Drive in .

On Monday, Patch received tips from readers that Sturtevant police and RCSD deputies were once again on Florence Drive, this time searching a wooded area next to the creek.
But on Tuesday, the RCSD released a statement saying they were looking at persons of interest but had not made any arrests.
When Patch asked the Sheriff's office for more information about the arrests and the searches, Lt. Thomas Lamke said because the case is still under investigation, there would be no further comment.
"We cannot release any further information as this is still an active investigation," he told Patch via email.
Greene's murder remains under investigation.
