Tom Mills Wins Elmwood Park Recall

The road to recall for the Elmwood Park Village President ended Tuesday with the announcement that Tom Mills emerged the winner.

A total of 213 ballots were cast out of 359 registered voters. Mills garnered 134 votes while Viau ended up with 79 votes.

Village President Audrey Viau was targeted for recall , route: {:controller=>"articles", :action=>"show", :id=>"elmwood-park-committee-looking-to-recall-village-president"} -->after residents said she bungled the process when Walmart was looking to build a Neighborhood Market on the old Kohl's site at Lathrop and Durand Avenues.
