Well-Known Strangers Launch New Single and Music Video “Splinter” In Preparation of Debut Album

Cello-Infused, Alternative Pop/Folk/Rock Band Entertains Midwest Audiences with New Music

The time is finally right for cello infused alternative pop/folk/rock band Well-Known Strangers who have been taking the Midwest music scene by storm! The exceptionally talented six-member band will release “Splinter,” their new single and music video on August 22nd followed by the launch of their debut album Aligned in September.

Together, musicians Joe Adamek (acoustic guitar), Betsy Ade (vocals, guitar, mandolin), Sacia Jerome (cello, background vocals), Theodore Koth (lead guitar, background vocals) Roger Gower (drums/percussion) and John Kulas (bass guitar) are an amazing mix of musical knowledge and education that provides a unique sound reminiscent of familiar pop-rock of the 90’s while being expressively groundbreaking and melodically rich.

"We are thrilled with the release of “Splinter” as it speaks to the internal and external battles we all face at times trying to simply walk our chosen path in life,” explains Adamek.

Formed in early 2015, Well-Known Strangers has quickly made their name known throughout southeast Wisconsin and Chicago. Their music is reinforced by strong songwriting and centered around the stately cello and powerful female vocals.

“It has been an extraordinary ride so far and we are beside ourselves with excitement for fans to hear our new music,” explains Ade. “We committed ourselves to grinding out an album in a short period of time and have put countless hours into writing and performing both in studio and at supportive local venues. We are lucky to have found the right people with an effective strategy for this release and have created a family from it.”
