Wisconsin Weather: '100 Percent Chance' Of Thunderstorms

MILWAUKEE, WI — There is a 100 percent chance of thunderstorms Thursday night and a slight chance of tornadoes in southeastern Wisconsin, according to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of east central Wisconsin, south central Wisconsin and southeast Wisconsin for Thursday afternoon into Thursday evening.

Weather observers said patchy dense fog was possible early Thursday morning, especially across far southern Wisconsin.

Rain and thunderstorms will become more numerous across the area this afternoon, continuing into Thursday night, according to the National Weather Service.

There is a risk for a few strong to severe storms Thursday evening, mainly along and south of
Interstate 94.

Strong wind gusts will be the main concern, though a brief spin-up tornado can not be ruled out. The severe weather risk will end around or shortly after midnight, weather observers said.

A chance of rain before 1 p.m, then showers likely between 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after p.m. High near 49. Southeast wind 10 to 15 miles per hour. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
