Do angels exist?
The pastor of a local church is holding a summer sermon series on angels. And he wants your accounts of angels.

The sermon series is called “Angels in the World Today.” Sumwalt is the author of a book called “Vision Stories: True Accounts of Visions, Angels & Holy Coincidences.”
“To say that there is much interest in the subject of angels would be an understatement. Angel mania might be more accurate,” said Sumwalt in a press release to Patch.

“Are there really such beings as angels in the world today? What do they look like? Can we see them? What did Jesus say about angels? Is this a topic that faithful Christians who are concerned about evangelism and caring for the poor should take seriously? How much of what we read about angels in a multitude of best-selling books resonates with the over three hundred references to angels in the scriptures? Will we be able to answer all of these questions? Likely not, but we can tell why knowing about and paying attention to angels is crucial to the wellbeing of the church.”

July 30: The Presence of Angels
Angel sightings are common. People who are willing to tell about these holy encounters are rare. They fear that people won’t believe them or think them crazy.
August 6: Angels: Guardians of Souls
In the scriptures we read of many instances when angels intervened to assist or protect someone. Is it true that everyone has a guardian angel?
August 13: Angels & the Holy Spirit
God sends the Spirit and holy angels (heavenly messengers) to intervene in the life of the church in those critical moments when we cannot save ourselves. It is this mostly unseen force that guides us and keeps the church alive.
August 20: The Angel of Death Brings Life
We need not fear death. There are many stories about the presence
of angels at the time of death in the scripture & in our own times.
