Mark your calendars and help us spread the word. The third annual “This Is How We Roll" Fashion Show Fundraiser & Community Awareness Event will be held on Sunday, April 24th from 3pm-5pm at Brookfield Suites Hotel in Brookfield, WI. The event is co-hosted by Olympian Speed Skater Bonnie Blair and Luke Bebeau of the well-known band-The Boogie Men. The proceeds benefit the Bryon Riesch Paralysis Foundation (BRPF), whose goal is to find a cure for paralysis through funding the latest in medical research, and to provide assistance to those that suffer from neurological disorders.

Jenny Addis, a longtime friend of the BRPF, was a victim in a tragic drunk driving accident in Muskego back in March of 1997. Since that time, she has committed to raising awareness for individuals suffering from paralysis. It has been Jenny's dream to organize and run a fashion show completely comprised of models in wheelchairs. That dream is now a reality!

“This is How We Roll” was created to highlight the importance of medical research, wheelchair accessibility and inclusion within the community by breaking down barriers and changing the stereotypes society has about wheelchair users. Models include a diverse group, ranging from teachers, nurses, therapists, school children to pageant titleholders.

Over the last two years, hosts have introduced 75 remarkable models, (men, women, and children of all ages), representing the Midwest, to the runway. All of the models are in wheelchairs. All “Rolling the Runway for Research". With more than 300 people in attendance at these events, the fashion show has raised nearly $30,000.00 for the Bryon Riesch Paralysis Foundation (BRPF). This year, of the 40 models rolling the runway for research, are Muskego residents, Jason Hall and Myah Lhuillier.

On April 24th, it rolls again! Seating and raffle begin at 2:00 pm with the fashion show to follow from 3:00-5:00 pm. All are invited to attend this afternoon of inspiration and fun! We can't do it alone. We are always in need of Sponsors, Volunteers, Retailers and Models. If you know anyone that may be interested in participating in some way, whether a current or future show, please contact Jenny Addis, Fashion Show Coordinator, 715-802-3456 or addisjenny@yahoo.com.

Ticket costs at the door: $25/person, $15/Kids over 6, Kids 5 & Under/FREE. Purchase Advanced Tickets and SAVE $5 per ticket! Plus, receive a FREE event souvenir bracelet. https://app.etapestry.com/cart/TheBryonRieschParalysis_1/default/index.php
