Busted Head Light, Busted for Bail Jumping in Muskego

A 20-year-old Muskego man learns that if you're in violation of your bail, it's best to keep your car in perfect order.

A Muskego man is facing felony bail jumping charges in Waukesha County circuit court after a faulty headlight on his vehicle caught Muskego Police's attention. Daniel Kluchesky faces a maximum penalty of $10,000, six years in prison or both if convicted.

According to the criminal complaint:

Muskego Police spotted Kluchesky's vehicle traveling on Jewel Crest Drive with a broken headlight on May 13, and also displaying an expired registration.

He told police that he was unaware of the broken headlight or that the registration had expired, and also denied drinking any alcohol. After agreeing to a preliminary breath test, which registered a 0.021, he admitted to having a beer about a half hour earlier at a friend's house.

A search of Kluchesky's car by a K-9 unit also revealed "several small pieces of marijuana on the floor board of the driver's side of the vehicle," according to the report.

The conditions of bail in a pending case against Kluchesky required absolute sobriety and no possession of any controlled substances.  In that case he is charged with two felony counts of distribution of THC stemming from an incident in December. He has entered a not guilty plea in that case, and is expected to appear again in court on June 17.

Kluchesky is scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing in this most recent case on June 6.
