Woman's Club Beautifies Janesville Road Intersection
The Muskego Woman's Club donated $12,000 for decorative benches, trash receptacles and potted planters at the intersection of Janesville Road and Parkland Drive.

A July 5 ceremony will recognize the Muskego Woman's Club for its efforts to beautify Janesville Road.
Coinciding with the second of three Jammin' on Janesville events, a special ribbon-cutting will be held at 5 p.m. at the northwest corner of Janesville Road and Parkland Drive, near the post office.
Thanks to the Woman's Club, corners at that intersection now feature decorative benches, decorative trash receptacles and potted planters, according to a city news release.
The planters will display a plaque recognizing the Woman's Club's sponsorship of those corners.
The club also sponsored the beautification of corners at the intersection of Janesville Road and Lannon Drive. Those items will be installed after the second phase of construction is completed, which will be sometime next year.
"The Muskego Woman's Club has played an integral role as civic leaders in the city for more than 50 years," Mayor Kathy Chiaverotti said in a news release, "and this is a meaningful way for civic organizations, individuals or families to enhance our community for the enjoyment of all."
Work on the first phase of Janesville Road construction, from Lannon Drive to Moorland Road, wrapped up this month. The reconstruction of Janesville from Racine Avenue to Lannon Drive is expected to start soon.
