Crime Corner: Mailboxes Take a Beating

The days between Feb. 5 and Feb. 10 took a toll on area mailboxes and a Muskego man was taken to the hospital for a heroin overdose.

• February 5, 2011 - The driver of a tan SUV was the victim of a Hit & Run accident while it was parked on the road at or around 8 pm in the S6900 block of Gold Dr. Police are looking for the driver of a red 2003-2004 Dodge Ram.
• February 6, 2011 – A mailbox in the S7300 block of Bay Shore Dr. was damaged.
• February 7, 2011 – A mailbox in the W16900 block of Woods Rd. was damaged, and police report that traces of red paint were discovered at the scene.
• February 8, 2011 – A 26-year-old Muskego man overdosed on heroin in the W14100 block of Independence Dr. After being transported to the hospital, the victim was taken to the Waukesha County Jail and is being held on drug charges and probation violations. A 25-year-old resident at the home was also taken into custody for drug charges and probation violations.
• February 8, 2011 – A 19-year-old Muskego man was taken into custody for allegedly stealing his neighbor's iPod in the W18400 block of Lions Park Dr.
• February 10, 2011 – Police received a report of a hit-and-run involving a mailbox in the W18700 block of College Ave.
