“Over the past decade, Wisconsin families and businesses have borne the burden of high taxes, out of control government spending and crippling regulations. The big government policies of the previous administration have left our state dangling over a fiscal cliff. Government has grown to unprecedented levels in our state and our liberties as citizens have contracted as a result. My message in this campaign is simple: We need Less Government and More Liberty to help solve the problems our state is facing.” Craig stated. “The outpouring of support that I have received from grass-roots conservatives, elected and political leaders, and area employers has been truly humbling. I am particularly humbled to be the only candidate in this race to have the endorsement of Congressman Paul Ryan.”
In reaction to Craig’s announcement, Congressman Paul Ryan made the following statement, “In politics there are ‘Be’ers’ and ‘Do’ers.’ Ultimately, it comes down to the difference between those that want to ‘be’ a politician for the power of the job, versus those that want to be elected as a public servant to ‘do’ a job, with the goal of making a difference in their community and state. From my years of working with Dave, I know he is a ‘Do’er’ and that he will work diligently to advance the conservative cause. That’s why I am wholeheartedly supporting his campaign and his message of Less Government, More Liberty. Governor Walker needs strong conservatives like Dave in the state legislature, and I know Dave will provide ideas in Madison that will help put Wisconsin back on track. I strongly urge a vote for Dave Craig for the 83rdAssembly District.”
Craig also thanked former Representative Scott Gunderson for his years of service in the Assembly. “Representative Gunderson has left a legacy of principled leadership that serves as a great example to all legislators. I thank him for his years of conservative representation in the Assembly, and I wish him God’s speed in his new leadership role at the DNR.” Craig stated.
Craig noted that he is a fifth generation Wisconsinite. He is an avid hunter and enjoys bow fishing on the Fox River. He and his wife, Amy, make their home in the Town of Vernon with their four children.
Craig also noted that he is 100% pro-life, supports concealed carry and Castle Doctrine legislation, voter ID, the court challenge of Obamacare, and an overhaul to the Wisconsin tax code. For more information on supporting Craig’s campaign visit: www.votedavecraig.com.
