First Phase Of Janesville Road Construction Almost Done
A second phase of Janesville Road construction, from Racine Avenue to Lannon Drive, is expected to begin soon.

The first phase of Janesville Road construction is expected to be completed by June 15, Mayor Kathy Chiaverotti said, with a second phase just around the corner.
Construction from Lannon Drive to Moorland Road has been ongoing since last year. The final "lift" of asphalt was put down last week, Chiaverotti said.
"The road is coming together very nicely and the city continues to receive positive feedback from residents as well as people passing through the community," Chiaverotti said in an e-mail.
The second phase of the project, from Racine Avenue to Lannon Drive, is expected to begin in mid-June, according to the project website. Work will continue until spring or summer of 2014.
The 2.5-mile road project features two additional lanes, medians and a complete reconstruction of Janesville Road, Muskego's main artery. It's considered the largest county road project in its history.
