Guilt From Owning Gun Results in Sale, Felony Charge
A Muskego man knew his felony charge meant he shouldn't have a gun, so he sold it and was then caught.

A pair of gun transactions did not work out well for a Muskego man — he’s out about $1,000 and facing a charge of possession of a firearm by a felon.
Matthew Ferguson, 33, purchased an AR-15 rifle from a Marinette man, according to a criminal complaint filed Friday in Waukesha County court. He bought it in the parking lot of a Green Bay Kmart for $1,600 because he knew a 2006 felony conviction would prevent him from a purchase requiring a background check.
Owning the gun began to eat at him, however, and after three months he tried to unload it to friends with no luck. So in early April he sold the gun to Gander Mountain in Waukesha for $750. Gander Mountain notified police.
