Janesville Road Construction Enters Next Phase
Construction on Janesville Road from Racine Avenue to Lannon Drive is expected to begin soon.

With work on the first phase of the massive Janesville Road construction project essentially completed, officials are turning their attention to phase two.
A pre-construction meeting on work from Racine Avenue to Lannon Drive is set for Friday, Public Works Director David Simpson said during a Public Works Committee meeting Monday.
A construction start date and other details may become clear then. Officials have previously said work will continue until spring or summer of 2014.
The contractor for phase two, Musson Brothers Inc., is the same as the first phase.
Except for a few loose ends, crews have mostly finished the stretch from Lannon Drive to Moorland Road.
The Janesville Road project features two additional lanes, medians and a complete reconstruction of Janesville Road, Muskego's main artery. It's considered the largest county road project in its history.
