Muskego Green Market: 4 Weeks and Counting

Organizers are still seeking vendors to complete the offerings of produce, crafts and other locally made products in the library's parking lot. When you can shop and how to get involved.

Shannon Barbian has been one busy woman, working to make connections with vendors for the launch of Muskego's first-ever Green Market on Thursday, May 30.

As early as next week flyers will be circulated, and she said she would be willing to hand off a stack to anyone willing to hand out to friends, or to hand out at their business. The hope is to generate not just shoppers, but also sellers to fill their bags.

"We are still seeking vendors - food specifically," Barbian told Muskego Patch. "We have quite a few artists and crafters but we really could use more fresh food, bakery items, canned goods, eggs, cheese, and bakery/canned foods, jams, jellies, salsa, etc., etc. Remember, all items must be handmade, homegrown, and local."

According to Barbian on the Muskego Green Market Facebook Page, organizers have decided to offer a rotating space option to make participation more inviting.

"You will get three Thursdays, assigned by me, for $15/day. So, $45 up front and I will schedule everyone on a calendar to keep up the weekly variety and let you know when your dates are. I currently will have two spaces rotating. If you can't make that date, or need to switch it with someone, then you can coordinate that between vendors and let me know who is replacing you," she wrote.
