Muskego Man Stabs Sleeping Mother, Claims God Took Control Of His Body: Police
Taylor Huff, who has a history of mental illness, was arrested March 28 and is being held in commitment with Waukesha County Mental Health.

MUSKEGO - A 24-year-old Muskego was arrested Tuesday and charged with first-degree recklessly endangering safety, domestic abuse, and use of a dangerous weapon after stabbing his mother while she slept, police said.
Police told Muskego New Berlin Now that Taylor A. Huff says he stabbed his mother as a warning to her to not make him take his medicine. Huff, who has a history of mental illness, says God moved his body to retrieve a knife from the kitchen and that if his mother is insistent he take his medicine "God may kill her."
Huff's mother, 52-year-old Mary Niemiec, woke up during the attack and fled to the kitchen to call 911 but Huff had taken the land line phone and prevented her from retrieving her cellphone, police said. Niemiec reportedly said Huff didn't recognize her during the stabbing and asked her who she was. She then called to her sleeping husband upstairs, who was able to call 911.

Niemiec was treated and released from the hospital with a neck wound and the injury was not life-threatening.
After his arrest, Huff was committed to the Waukesha County Mental Health after the court ordered a competency hearing, with a preliminary hearing set for April 13, police said. One of the conditions of his commitment is that Huff must take his medicine.
