Muskego Ranks Among America’s Most Challenging High Schools

Twenty-seven Wisconsin high schools made the Washington Post's ranking of America's Most Challenging High Schools, which include Muskego High School.

Muskego High School once again made the Washington Post’s list of America’s Most Challenging High School.

In the national rankings of 1,900 public and private schools, Muskego came in at 1743. Last year the school ranked 1845.

The Washington Post’s formula, the Challenge Index, takes the total number of Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and Advanced International Certificate of Education tests given at a school each year and is divided by the number of seniors who graduated in May or June.

According to the Washington Post, 

Muskego High School has a four-year graduation rate of 97 percent, an average ACT score of 23.7, and 67 percent of students attend 4-year colleges.

Neighboring schools districts New Berlin Eisenhower High School ranked 662 and New Berlin West High School ranked 644.

Looking at their placement on the list within the state of Wisconsin, Muskego ranked 25th.
