The GFWC Muskego Woman's Club Donates $15,000+ to the Muskego Library to outfit the Children's Storytime Room

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
April 17, 2018 (MUSKEGO, WI) The GFWC Muskego Woman’s Club is pleased to announce it will donate slightly more than $15,000 to outfit the Children’s Storytime Room at the Muskego Public Library as it undergoes a significant remodel of the children’s section. Library Director, Brittany Larson, and Children’s Librarian, Abby Bussen, recently presented the design and outfit plan to the Club. It was noted in the presentation that the library’s children’s programs now have in excess of 20,000 participants annually. Only 17 libraries in the state have higher attendance numbers according to the most recent data.
Club President, Rhonda Pelk, stated, “A vibrant and accessible library is the cornerstone of any thriving community and we are thrilled to be a part of this wonderful opportunity to support such a space for our city’s young readers and their families. GFWC has as part of its mission the support of literacy and development of strong family relationships. A program like this is a perfect fit between the GFWC and our community library.”
The GFWC Muskego Woman’s Club is proud to support such a robust and growing program. Director Larson noted the library felt it was a natural fit to approach the local woman’s club knowing the club’s mission of community service.
A formal donation presentation for the Children’s Storytime Room will occur at the Muskego Public Library, S73 W16663 Janesville Road, Muskego, WI 53150, on Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 5:30 pm.
