Park Arthur Cuts the Ribbon, and Declares 'Play Ball!'
The official opening of the park on Muskego's north side came after a winter season that had many already using the park's sledding hill, but the inaugural baseball game that immediately followed ceremonies kept the party going
It's likely the park most talked about in Muskego is also at the moment its least used, but officials are eager to change all that, and it began Tuesday afternoon.
The Chamber of Commerce was on hand to officially welcome the new park to the city with a ribbon cutting at 4:30 p.m., which was followed at 5:30 with the first game ever on the large baseball field by the Muskego Warriors U13 league against "northern rivals" the New Berlin Magic.
Arthur Theisenheusen, for whom the park was named, passed away in 2000, but his son Arthur, who now lives in Waukesha with his wife Bonnie was on hand to observe the ceremony and said his dad would have been happy.

"I think he'd say we was pleased at the park...he never wanted to see the land become rows of houses," Theisenheusen said.
In the coming year, the park will add lighting to the large field, construct three more little league fields and a pavilion, and expanded parking to accommodate baseball fans.

Future plans include an ice skating and hockey rink to help make the park live up to its billing as a four-season destination.
