South Milwaukee Man Pleads Guilty In Crash In Muskego That Killed Two Bicyclists
Brett Hartley pled guilty to two counts of homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle on Monday.

WAUKESHA COUNTY - A man accused of hitting two bicyclists on June 6, 2015, pled guilty Monday to two counts of homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle.
Brett Hartley, 22, of South Milwaukee, was in his vehicle when prosecutors said he hit 45-year-old Paul Brown of Franklin and 54-year-old Anthony Oliver of Oak Creek. The two men were friends and co-workers of Hartley and were training for an Iron Man competition.
According to a 911 call released by Muskego police, Hartley is heard telling the dispatcher that he fell asleep behind the wheel and had woken up to discover he hit the two men biking. Several witnesses also called 911 to report the accident.

One of the men died at the scene after a witness on the scene attempted CPR and the other was taken to Froedtert Hospital, where he died of his injuries.
Fox 6 reports Hartley will be sentenced on June 22.
