Spirit Manufacturing of New Berlin is Closing, Laying off 60 by Winter
Spirit Manufacturing, a manufacturer of precision CNC machined products, is closing its plant at 5340 South Emmer Drive on Nov 18.

NEW BERLIN -- Spirit Manufacturing Inc. of New Berlin is closing, and will lay off about 60 employees, according to a mass layoff notice filed with the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development on Aug. 31.
Spirit Manufacturing, a manufacturer of precision CNC machined products, is closing its plant at 5340 South Emmer Drive in New Berlin on Nov. 18. The notice went on to say that employees may be employed beyond Nov. 18 due to business need and winding down of the operation.
The company has been in business since 1997, was known as custom metal fabricators and a manufacturers of specialty OEM components, custom machined parts and replacement parts including crankshafts, connecting rods, engine parts, pump and compressor parts and motor parts.
