State DPI School Report Cards Came Out Thursday: Here's How Muskego-Norway Performed

Here are the results from the state Department of Public Instruction's school report cards, and results for every school in the district:

MUSKEGO — School report cards released Thursday by the State Department of Public Instruction show that the Muskego-Norway School District "exceeds expectations."

Scores are calculated for each of the following priority areas on the state report card:

• Student Achievement proficiency in English Language Arts (ELA) and mathematics on state assessments

• Student Growth measured by year-to-year improvements in achievement

• Closing Gaps in performance between specific student groups (comparing English language learners, low-income students, students with disabilities, and members of a racial or an ethnic group with their peers)

• On-Track and Post-secondary Readiness is a measurement using reliable predictors of high school graduation and potential post high school success

The state DPI then weighs those metrics in order to deliver schools and districts a score from 0 to 100., Schools and districts then fall into one of five categories ranging from “significantly exceeds expectations” to “fails to meet expectations.”

According to the DPI report cards, Muskego-Norway garnered 83.4 points and garnered all five stars, meaning it "significantly exceeds expectations."
