UPDATED: Tactical Situation on Muskego Drive Alarms Neighbors

Residents describe a big presence of SWAT team members surrounding a home on Muskego Drive Thursday afternoon after an apparent standoff that ended peacefully.

According to Muskego Police, they were called to assist the Metro Drug Unit in executing a search warrant at a home on Muskego Drive. When they arrived, the subject of the warrant would not cooperate and refused to come out of the house.

As part of Muskego's partnership in the Suburban Critical Incident Team, SWAT team members from Waukesha and New Berlin were also on scene, which ended peacefully after two hours.

"Something" big was what some residents described as members of Muskego Police Department's SWAT team were involved in a tactical situation on Thursday afternoon, beginning around 3 p.m.

"We watched the police for approximately 2 hours from Little Muskego Lake, as they had a house surrounded on Muskego Drive, they had their dogs, weapons, camoflauge and shields. We believe the FBI was there," commented Lori Borga.

One neighbor, Kelly Tolfa, told Muskego Patch that by about 5 p.m. the situation appeared to be over. She said SWAT teams from Muskego were joined by those from New Berlin and Waukesha.

Muskego Patch has requested confirmation on the nature of the situation, and have not yet received an official statement from the Muskego Police Department but will update the story when more information becomes available.
