For Immediate release: Hales Corners Lutheran School (HCLS) educators lead by example, and we are honored that four of our teachers are accepting prestigious awards for excellence in teaching. Our teachers are sensitive to children’s individual needs and are committed to the development of the whole child: spiritual, physical, intellectual, emotional and social. Teachers are fully invested in the well-being of their students, building healthy relationships and trust that prepare them to lead responsible, purpose-filled lives for Christ.
Annually, the Lutheran Education Association (LEA) presents awards to Lutheran educators who exhibit a strong commitment to serving Jesus Christ and excellence and effectiveness in teaching, leadership, and professionalism. Of the 14 awards available across the nation, HCLS staff was awarded three of them.

Additionally, The Herb Kohl Fellowship recognizes teachers who have demonstrated superior ability to inspire love of learning in their students, have motivated others, and have provided meritorious service both inside and outside the classroom. This year, our middle school science teacher, Jana Horn was named a recipient of the Kohl Fellowship Award.
We thank and praise God for the talents that these educators share with our students, families, and faculty. To God be the glory!
