Two Dead in Murder Suicide in New Berlin Wednesday

NEW BERLIN — Two people are dead after an apparent murder-suicide early Wednesday morning in New Berlin inside a home on Hickory Trail.

According to a report from FOX 6, police responded to a call for help from a man at a home on Hickory Trail around 6:30 a.m. The man ended the call and the dispatcher was unable to regain phone contact.

When officers arrived, they reportedly observed a male victim that was pronounced dead at the scene. A female victim was found in life-threatening condition. She was transported to the hospital where she succumbed to her injuries.

FOX 6 has learned that when officers arrived at the home, they found the front door open. After entering the home they smelled burnt gun powder and found two victims — a man and a woman. Both victims were in a bedroom with gunshot wounds.
