Details are few, but water is flooding Janesville Road near Kristin Drive, apparently due to a water main break. Traffic in the area is being redirected, but authorities say that repairs should be completed by morning.
Reports of water bubbling up on Janesville Road near Muskego Elementary School began around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday evening, and residents have told Muskego Patch that water has been shut off to homes to help remedy the situation. In addition, nearby neighbors in the Kristin Downs subdivision reported low water pressure.
Muskego Police said that the situation has caused traffic to be diverted in the area, with lanes shifting to the north at the site, but said that Department of Public Works crews estimate that repairs should be completed by morning.
According to residents, the broken main is at Park Drive and Janesville Road, right across from Muskego Elementary. Crews were at work by 7 a.m. Wednesday, and indications are the watermain broke in the middle of the road. Businesses in the area like LSpa and Llanas dental have reported they are out of water.
