Woman's Club Honored For Janesville Road Donation

Elected and city officials honored the Muskego Woman's Club for its contribution toward the beautification of Janesville Road.

At the second of three Jammin' on Janesville events, a ribbon cutting was held at the corner of Janesville Road and Parkland Drive in recognition of the club's $12,000 donation toward decorative benches, trash receptacles and potted planters.

"It means so much what you do for the community," state Sen. Mary Lazich said.  "You build strong communities by doing things like this."

Mayor Kathy Chiaverotti, a longtime member of the Woman's Club, credit the organization for saving their money for a worthwhile cause.

"They're good savers," she said. "They've been saving a long time for that opportunity to do something very special."

The club also sponsored the beautification of corners at the intersection of Janesville Road and Lannon Drive. Those items will be installed after the second phase of construction is completed.
