2 people Escape Before Car Fire: New Berlin Fire Department

​The New Berlin Fire Department responded to a car fire on Wednesday night on I-43 Northbound at Moorland Road.

NEW BERLIN, WI—The New Berlin Fire Department responded to a car fire on Wednesday night on I-43 Northbound at Moorland Road, according to the fire department.

New Berlin Fire quickly extinguished the fully involved car. Two people escaped the car prior to the fire. The car was reported as having issues prior to the fire, according to a news release.

There were no civilian or firefighter injuries.

The initial response included six New Berlin Firefighters and one Chief. New Berlin Police Officers and Waukesha County Sherriff assisted on the scene with traffic, crowd control, and scene safety.

Approximately 750 gallons of water was used to extinguish the fire, according to the release.
