3 Serious Car Crashes In 24 Hours: New Berlin Fire Department

New Berlin firefighters /paramedics responded to 3 separate serious car crashes with injuries on Sunday.

NEW BERLIN, WI—New Berlin Fire Department and paramedics responded to three serious car crashes within 24 hours on Sunday.

The first one occurred at 9:24 a.m. on NB I-43 at Beloit Road where a female driver left the roadway rolling her vehicle over several times coming to rest on the roof in the median. She was extricated through the rear window and was transported to Froedtert Trauma Center, according to fire officials.

The second accident occurred at 3:55 p.m. on Sunny Slope Road just north of Cold Spring Road and involved a motorcycle and a car. Both vehicles were traveling northbound when the male motorcycle driver collided into the car and was thrown off the motorcycle where bystanders assisted him until NBFD arrived. He was treated by paramedics and transported to Froedtert Trauma Center, fire officials said.

Lastly, at 9:40 p.m. NBFD personnel responded to a three-car accident on Moorland Road at Lincoln Ave. Three patients were evaluated by paramedics with one male patient being transported to the hospital. Moorland Road was shut down for over one hour until responders cleared the roadway, fire officials said.

There were no firefighter injuries.
