Bipartisan Bradley Utilities Bill Becomes Law

Assembly Bill 27 was passed unanimously in both houses of the Legislature and now has become Wisconsin Act 27.

MADISON, Wis. — A bill authored by Senator Julian Bradley, R–Franklin, and Representative Mike Kuglitsch, R–New Berlin, that helps give customers a seat at the table when utility rates are set was signed into law Thursday.

"This bipartisan law is the product of efforts from numerous stakeholders across the utilities industry to reduce red tape, streamline processes and ensure customers have a meaningful voice when rates are set," Senator Bradley said. "I came to the State Senate to ensure the voices of constituents are heard in Madison, and this bill will ensure a more balanced process going forward."

Assembly Bill 27 was passed unanimously in both houses of the Legislature and now has become Wisconsin Act 27. It is the first bill authored by Senator Bradley signed into law.

Senator Bradley represents the 28th Senate District, which includes portions of Milwaukee, Racine, Walworth, and Waukesha counties.
